The Municipal Hall was packed for two nights as Biggar High School pupils entertained with the 2011 dance show We Were Born This Way.

Over 500 people in the audiences were treated to everything from contemporary dance and cheerleading to traditional Scottish dancing.

And they got a chance to sing along to songs from Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Glee.

Teacher Fiona Thomson with colleagues Shona McKelvie and Vikki Epton, helped run the show.

Fiona said: “The pupils worked very hard during the 13 weeks of rehearsals leading up to the two performances.

“Girls from the whole school took part with S3 to S6 choreographing their own material, while S1 and S2 got a little bit of help from ourselves.

“Both nights were great. The audience was packed into the hall and we got a lot of really good feedback.
