SINGING Kettle star Anya Scott-Rodgers is upbeat about the future – despite the show ending after more than 30 years.
Creators Cilla Fisher and Artie Tresize revealed last week that this year’s Kettle Christmas show will be the last.
Although she is sad the show is ending, Anya, from Lanark, is already looking forward to the next chapter in her career which includes a new show with co-stars Kevin McLeod and Gary Coupland.
The 27-year-old said: “It has been a terrific couple of years and performing with Kevin and Gary has been brilliant.
“One of my favourite memories was performing over in Germany for the Forces kids.
“I also remember when I first joined and was backstage in Aberdeen. It was very exciting.
“I wasn’t prepared for the level of interest when I was announced but it has been great.”
